Asexuals & Demisexuals
Asexuals and demisexuals can have unique health needs and concerns which many health care providers lack understanding and experience dealing with. Asexuals are persons who are not sexually attracted to others. Demisexuals are persons who are sexually attracted to a very select few with whom they have developed a close, intimate connection with. As you might imagine, those who identify as asexual or demisexual meet with a lot of criticism and skepticism from others, thus it is important to these persons to find medical providers that can be sensitive and understanding to their unique sexual orientation.
